Practice Team
The practice is a Partnership (non-limited) of four Principals based at our purpose built surgery on the corner of Barry Road and Court Road. Our practice covers Barry and Sully.

A G.P. Registrar is also attached to the surgery, this is a Doctor in training for General Practice who is already qualified and has worked as a Hospital Doctor.
In the event of one doctor not being available, patients may be seen by another partner or a Locum doctor.

Pharmacist
Kate Jenkins BSc (Hons) MRPharmS. Independent Prescriber who manages medication reviews, chronic disease reviews and other queries e.g. pain medication, medication synchronisation and reconciliation.
Nurses
The nursing team consists of:
Ms Rachel Charlett RN BSc (Hons), Independent Prescriber (Principal) - Rachel is available by appointment and manages the Minor Illness Clinics, Contraception and Hypertension clinic, as well as other nursing duties.
Helen Phillip RN, Independent Prescriber - is available by appointment. Helen manages a minor illness clinic, Bi-Annual Diabetic clinic along with many other nursing duties.
Our Independent Prescribers run the Minor Illness Clinics, along with individual speciality clinics
Katie Wright RN - is available by appointment and manages the Asthma, Respiratory and Travel clinics as well as other nursing duties.
Chloe RN - is available by appointment and is trained in Asthma and COPD, Vaccinations and Wound management, as well as other nursing duties.
Nina Sharp, Health Care Assistant: - is available each morning and some afternoons to: record blood pressures, redress wounds, complete new patient registration checks, provide smoking cessation advice, weight monitoring, spirometry, ECG's, take blood samples (INR's).
Administrative Team
The Practice Managers
Cleona Jones is our Practice Manager and is responsible for the running of the Practice administration.
Valerie Lauder is our Deputy Practice Manager.
Medical Secretary
Jo and Linda manage enquiries regarding medical referrals, medical reports, holiday cancellation forms or any other secretarial query.
Reception/Administration
We have a team of 8 receptionists/administration who are managed by Chloe - Reception Manager:
Stephanie, Steph, Leanne, Nicci, Rachel, Julie, Jessica, and Jo.
They are all fully trained and experienced to deal with patients' requests and enquiries, sensitively and sympathetically. They make appointments, take messages, including requests for home visits, and deal with repeat prescriptions. Please remember, if you are asked what seems to be an irritating question, the receptionist is trying to assist both you and the Doctor, and at times this can be difficult. Please ask to speak to a receptionist in private if necessary.
