Adferiad

Have you heard of Adferiad? Funded by the The Vale of Glamorgan Council, the Adferiad Family Support Service aims to increase the wellbeing of adult unpaid carers who care for family members or loved ones who have been impacted by mental ill-health.

Working across The Vale of Glamorgan, the service aims to increase the independence and empowerment of unpaid carers by offering a twelve-week one-to-one support program alongside monthly peer support groups.

Our service aims to support the unpaid carers in our community to improve their overall wellbeing, which is achieved through education, information, support, peer support and well-being activities. This service is crucial as it helps carers manage their roles and maintain their mental and emotional health.

Referrals for one-to-one support are provided by The Vale of Glamorgan Council Carers Support Team, and are for residents of The Vale of Glamorgan who have undergone a Carers Assessment.
