Self Referrals

There are a number of local services that don't require you to speak with your GP for a referral. You can now self refer directly into these services without a medical assessment beforehand, thus reducing the waiting time for you to receive these services. 

These include direct referrals into:

• NHS Physiotherapy
• NHS Podiatry 
• Mental Health Support
• Welsh Eye Care Scheme
• MIND in the Vale
• Pregnancy Advisory Service

If you have any concerns are questions which you wish to discuss beforehand, or are not sure which service would be most suitable to deal with your needs, we would suggest an appointment is made in surgery with a clinician.
